Welnx Therapeutics has initiated a second preclinical study in an animal model of chronic Th2 inflammation.
The study builds on the company's first preclinical program, completed in May 2025, and is designed to characterize the durability of response and the effect of repeated dosing over a longer treatment period.
Why it matters
Chronic Th2 inflammation is a persistent condition, and a therapy must show benefit beyond a single acute challenge. This study is intended to generate the longer-term data needed to support the program's progression toward IND-enabling work.
